  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 0.5 cup Chopped walnuts Optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, combine sugar, oil, and egg. Beat until well combined.
  • Add applesauce to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in chopped walnuts, if using.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
