  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Shredded coconut

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in shredded coconut.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
