  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 container ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 each egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Stir in 1.5 cups of marinara sauce, salt, and pepper into the skillet with the beef.
  • In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and parsley. Mix well.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Lay each cooked lasagna noodle flat. Spread a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture onto each noodle. Roll up each noodle tightly.
  • Place the rolled-up noodles seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the rolled noodles. Sprinkle with the remaining 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.
