  • 1 pie crust Pre-made pie crust 9-inch
  • 4 Large tomatoes Sliced
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar recommended
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil Chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh chives Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Layer the tomato slices in the pie crust.
  • In a bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, basil, chives, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the cheese mixture over the tomato slices.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
